Our Priorities for Kentucky Families

Practical solutions for real people in KY-02.

Education

Kentucky’s students deserve safe classrooms, supported teachers, and the resources needed to learn and thrive. Rural schools in KY-02 face aging buildings, teacher shortage,s and limited access to mental-health support. As a public school teacher, William knows firsthand what happens when classrooms are asked to do more with less.

In Congress, William will:

  • Support full federal funding for public schools

  • Expand resources for rural school districts

  • Invest in counselors, psychologists, and social workers in every school

  • Raise teacher pay and strengthen professional support

  • improve access to career, technical, and vocational education

Healthcare

Too many families in Kentucky are skipping doctor’s visits, delaying medications, or driving hours just to get basic care. In many rural counties across KY-02, hospital closures, long wait times, and a lack of specialists force people to make impossible choices.

William understands that access to healthcare should never depend on your income or your ZIP code.

In Congress, William will:

  • Protect and expand Medicaid so every family can keep their coverage

  • Fight to bring more primary-care providers, mental-health specialists, and nurses to rural communities

  • Lower the cost of prescription drugs by holding pharmaceutical companies accountable

  • Safeguard rural hospitals from shutdowns and support telehealth services

  • Expand mental-health and addiction treatment programs across Kentucky

Economy

Families across KY-02 are working harder than ever but still struggling to keep up with rising costs. Small towns are fighting to keep local businesses open, create new jobs, and retain young people who want a future here at home.

William believes the economy should reward work, not just wealth — and that every Kentucky community deserves a fair shot.

In Congress, William will:

  • Support investment in small businesses, entrepreneurs, and rural job creation

  • Expand apprenticeships, trades training, and career-technical opportunities

  • Bring federal dollars back to KY-02 to rebuild roads, water systems, and broadband infrastructure

  • Strengthen protections for workers, including fair wages and safe working conditions

  • Lower everyday costs by addressing corporate price-gouging

Infrastructure & Broadband

Kentucky’s small towns and rural communities deserve reliable roads, clean water, and fast internet — the basics every family needs to live, learn, and work. But too many communities in KY-02 are still dealing with aging bridges, unsafe drinking water, and broadband dead zones that make it harder for students to do homework and for local businesses to grow.

These challenges are solvable with serious federal investment and leaders who will fight for our share of infrastructure dollars — not just talk about it.

In Congress, William will:

  • Modernize rural roads, bridges, and school infrastructure

  • Expand high-speed broadband to every home and business in KY-02

  • Protect clean drinking water with federal funding for pipes, pumps, and treatment upgrades

  • Prioritize local contractors and labor for infrastructure jobs

  • Bring federal grants to rural communities that are too often overlooked

Agriculture & Rural Development

Agriculture is the backbone of Kentucky’s economy, and our farmers deserve a fair shot. But many are being squeezed by rising costs, corporate consolidation, and inconsistent market access. Rural towns are facing the same pressures — fewer jobs, fewer resources, and too many young people forced to leave home to find opportunity.

William knows that investing in rural Kentucky means investing in the people who feed our country and keep our small towns alive.

In Congress, William will:

  • Protect family farms from corporate monopolies

  • Expand federal support for local food systems and small producers

  • Strengthen crop insurance and disaster relief programs

  • Invest in rural housing, childcare, and small-business development

  • Support sustainable farming practices that protect soil and water

Veterans

Kentucky has one of the highest rates of military service in the nation — and yet too many veterans in KY-02 struggle to access the care and support they earned. Long drives to VA facilities, months-long wait times, and limited rural mental-health providers leave veterans without the resources they need.

William believes we owe veterans more than thanks — we owe them action.

In Congress, William will:

  • Expand rural VA clinics and mobile health services

  • Improve mental-health and suicide-prevention programs

  • Increase job training and apprenticeship opportunities for veterans

  • Strengthen housing and disability benefits

  • Fully fund the VA and protect veterans’ access to care

Government Reform & Accountability

Kentuckians deserve a government that works for them — not corporate PACs, lobbyists, and political insiders. Too many politicians are more focused on special-interest donors than the people they represent.

William is running for Congress to change that.

In Congress, William will:

  • Ban corporate PAC money and dark-money influence

  • Require full transparency in political spending

  • Crack down on price-gouging and corporate monopolies

  • Protect voting rights and expand access to the ballot

  • Enact strong ethics rules for members of Congress
