Living Wage brought to Bowling Green City Employees

This is a great day for our Commonwealth. This is one of the first steps to insuring a better life for all Kentuckians and for all of the United States. It was announced that all Bowling Green city employees (regardless of job) will begin to make the livable wage of $15 an hour. Compton is overjoyed by this important change in wages. He has always believed that our current minimum wage is not livable. The current minimum wage of $7.25 has remained stagnant despite the ever increasing cost of living. That is not acceptable. People working a full time job (sometimes more than one) should not have to choose between food or healthcare. This is an important step on the road to a better life. To a more prosperous one. We can achieve so much more when we come together and look out for our overlooked. Compton would like to be among the first to extend his exuberance at the Bowling Green situation. He hopes that this will lead to real change. To real improvement. Let us remember that together we will pick each other up and make real progress for our great Commonwealth!
